Houston, Texas floods and we were fast with our Storm Response

Storm

          Fast asleep. Dreaming. Ring ring. Ring ring. My eyes open and you see that your phone is ringing. You see it’s your office calling. What can this be at this hour. I am off today. I shouldn’t be getting a call from them. I answer the phone. “There’s a storm in Dallas. Bad. Corporate just called us. Pack your bags. We are heading out in a couple of hours.” You throw your clothes in a suitcase and get all your gear. Maybe grab my Xbox but if I’m being honest with myself I know that I won’t be using it because as soon as I get back to the hotel room I’m going to sleep. Wallet, keys, phone, phone charger, toiletries. Please say I didn’t forget anything. Jump in my car. Head to the office. Phone calls in the office. Everyone is running around like the rush in a restaurant. Its craziness. The guys in the back are loading trucks in the back with gear and materials for the storm. Grab an iPad. On the road.

          This is what it is like when you get the call for storm. Everyone is running around to get their tasks done as soon as possible. We know that timing is key when it comes to water damage and storms. We have a long drive ahead of us and we also want to make sure that we don’t forget anything.

We take our job very seriously. Once we get the call it starts a process that we have done 1000 times.  

Once we get to the city that we are going to work in we get to our hotel first. After we get our hotel we start to make phone calls to all our clients that we expect to work with. We get their information and a quick rundown of what happened to their property. Then we set up a meeting time and date at their house so we can do a walkthrough of their property.
